My name is Elizabeth and I have five children and a dog called Stan. I am the owner and Head Tutor of Elizabeth’s Tuition Centre.
I have over twenty five years of experience in tutoring. I began working for a tuition centre while studying at Leicester University in 2001, being promoted to Head Tutor within three months. This role continued until 2003, when I moved to live and work in France.
Several years later I started my own tuition centre in Birmingham, which I successfully ran for many years. I left the area for West Yorkshire around ten years ago and have lived here since.
Elizabeth’s Tuition Centre has operated in Bingley for the last five years and has grown from one student to over eighty regular students. We have welcomed over a hundred families through our doors, many of those are still with us today.
Many of my students have successfully passed grammar school entrance examinations, received scholarships and bursaries to independent schools, achieved much needed pass marks and top marks at GCSE level as well as Functional skills papers . I have supported many children including those with neurodivergence, dyslexia and additional needs in finding a way to cope with their workload; I have also given them the confidence to embrace their school work and life. I have made many friends along the way and still maintain relationships from students and their families from many years ago.
I am passionate about teaching and really enjoy my job. My goal is not simply to help your child catch up – it is to help them flourish academically and to increase their self-confidence, meaning that they can exceed their own expectations.
